Since graduating from Dublin’s prestigious Trinity College in 1992, Mark Hughes has quickly gone on to take his place among the global leaders of cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
3000 HOURS
key to achieving the excellent reputation for his cosmetic dentistry and the status of an Accredited cosmetic dentist is more than 3000 hours of advanced training, including study with Florida’s Pankey Institute and the Eastman Institute London, where Mark earned his diploma in restorative dentistry. Training at both institutes represents the industry benchmark of accomplishment.
Mark’s professional experience is every bit as impressive as his academic achievements. He has founded and run successful dental clinics on London’s Harley Street, where he continues to practice under the Harley Street Dental Studio brand.
Mark has since added a further rare achievement to his portfolio – accreditation with the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD). He is one of only 16 dentists in the world to hold the accolade.
30 YEARS+
Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Mark’s cosmetic and restorative work has earned him a selection of industry awards and he now sits on the judging panel of the UK’s Private Dentistry awards.
His experience and expertise have also been recognised by leading dental brands like Invisalign and Sensodyne, for whom he is a brand ambassador.
In addition to his 20 years + working on Harley Street and as the founder and leader of the superb team here at Canon House, Mark is a passionate dental educator and lecturer. He is now often found training fellow dental professionals on clinical skills internationally. Mark also offers professional guidance and mentoring in the UK through Hughes Dental Training.
Mark is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD), the British Dental Association, and an accredited member of the British Association of Cosmetic Dentistry.
